INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT PREPARATION

Abstract Submission Guideline



INTRODUCTION
The Scientific Committee (ICRA-PAIN 2017) is pleased to invite pain physicians to submit abstracts for PLATFORM presentation at the International Conference on Recent Advances in Pain.
The deadline is 30th June 2017. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Abstracts must be original and must not have been presented previously or submitted to any other meeting Presentations will be in PLATFORM format. Instructions on the date and time of your presentation, and on the preparation of power point presentation, will be provided with the notification of acceptance of your abstract.

The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat. Submission implies that the corresponding author has received the consent from co-authors.

Presenting authors of accepted abstracts must be registered participants. Registration must be received by the Secretariat by 30th June 2017 to ensure inclusion of the abstract in the Congress publications.

Presentation in poster format in optional.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
Abstracts must be submitted in English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.

Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

1. Presenting author's contact details
Email address
Full postal address
Telephone and fax numbers


2. Author and co-authors' details
Full name (first name(s) and family name(s).
Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country


3. Abstract title - limited to 25 words in UPPER CASE


4. Abstract text limited to 250 words, including acknowledgements.
(Please Note: word count is affected when graphs/tables/images are included)
We recommend using word-processing software (for example, Word) for editing your abstract and counting the number of words.


5. Abstracts should be structured as shown below:
Background and aims
Methods
Results
Conclusions



1. Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations, in parentheses, after the full word appears the first time.
2. Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals.
3. Tables A maximum of 3 tables of up to 10 rows x 10 columns can be included per abstract.
4. Graphs and images Pictures/Graphs: Authors can include a maximum of 3 Pictures/graphs. The maximum file size of each picture/graph is 500 KB. The maximum pixel size of the graph/picture is 600(w) x 800(h) pixels.
You can upload graphs and images in JPG, PNG and GIF format only.
5. Please note that abstracts must be SUBMITTED before the deadline in order to be sent to review for inclusion in the Scientific Program.
